Ask yourself this: Can you count the noun?
No: (It's a non-count noun) -->	Use some:  I want some water.
Yes, and it's singular: (1 noun) -->	Use a / an: I want a cup of tea.
Yes, and it's plural: (2 or more nouns) -->	Use some: I want some sandwiches for lunch.
